Today is Greta's shower and a family gathering at Skip's house. We have been busy preparing all morning. The SF part of the family are on their way over. The fun commences at 2 pm.
Meanwhile we are hanging out at Mom's house.

What followed was grief that found no peace. In October of 2011 I diagnosed with Lymphoma. Heading North again
Ive been home in Escondido for several weeks now. I really love my little house, all my pets, my husband and the life I have created here. I feel more relaxed and at ease when Im here.
But the North is calling again. We were already set to go to Sacramento on Thursday for Greta's baby shower and the family gathering at Skips house this Saturday May 21.
But Mom's little dog Mandy died of heart failure last week. Mom really needs a dog in her life. She wants me to help her find one. So we will be heading up the freeway tomorrow Tuesday. I already have a possible dog lined up. I found it online at a Small Dog Rescue organization. She is a little 8lb Terrier/ Maltese mix. We plan to stop in Isleton and see the dog. If it feels right, we will bring it with us to Mom's. If we decided not to get her, we will go on to Sacramento. and look there. Petfinders has several possibilities.
