Another chapter

Life has come full circle since my last blog entry. We came home after Greta's shower in May. Three days after we got home, we got a phone call from a friend of Mike's He told us that Mike was in the hospital dying. At that time I started a blog called Michael My Son.
It has been 7 weeks since Mike died. I will let the blog speak for itself. This is a new chapter in my life.
Im again in Northern California. It took a long time before I was ready to come back. I was beset with inertia. I just didn't have the drive to actually plan a trip and take it.
But finally things started to happen up here. My niece Greta is due to have her first baby. She wants me there to help her in the first few days. This has always been my specialty in the family. The other concern is that my 90 y/o Mom has been having some troubling symptoms. I was trying to take care of her long distance through my sister Shirley. Shirley doesn't have a medical back ground and she has a business to run. So I hopped on a plane and here I am.
As I have said before, I love my little house in Escondido. But I have 36 family members in Northern California. I want to share in their lives.
Already since I have been here, I have spent a lovely afternoon with my 8 y/o niece Sierra, teaching her to knit, playing with Molly the dog, giving her a bath and playing with Photo Booth on my computer.  Ive helped my mother rebalance her meds and get over her dizzy spells and angina with the help of her wonderful doctor.
I spent an afternoon with my sister Sue, went shopping with my sister Shirley, helped her fiancé Steve fix Mom's phone system. We even brought wifi into Mom's house. All in less than a week.
I woke up this morning and thought, 'Im happy here'
