Today my dear friend, Cris will be having her baby via C-section. I will be leaving soon to join with her family in welcoming her little boy.
I will also see a podiatrist about my left foot. It has never been quite right since I broke my ankle three years ago. The ball of my foot starts to hurt if I walk more than two miles. I will need it to be ok if Im to walk 13 miles this fall in the Nike Womens walking half marathon.

What followed was grief that found no peace. In October of 2011 I diagnosed with Lymphoma.
