Cardiology Appointment

The appointment was  at Scripps Green, La Jolla.  The doctor is the one who read the echo cardiogram that I had last week. There are some leaky valve issues. But the main thing he is interested in is a mass near my heart. Is it the lymphoma? or is it something more benign. He ordered a procedure called a TEE (Trans Espophogeal Echo) Basicallly they will put me under then snake an instrument down my esophagus to visualize my heart from that angle.
If it is a lymphoma, my oncologist with get together with the cardiologist and decide what to do.
Im just the patient. I lie there while they poke and prod and discuss. I wonder what they are thinking, Are they thinking, 'Let's try this, or that or the other. What have we got to loose? This lady is a goner anyway. '?
Dr Savin, my oncologists scolds me for looking nervous. 'We can cure this, ' he says. Im thinking, ok so I have cancer all through my gut, my chest and now maybe my heart. But we can make it all go  away with a few rounds of chemo. Riiiiiight
And by the way, it isn't ok to feel nervous or upset or scared. After all. this is the curable kind.
'Aggressive large B_cell lymphoma- CURABLE.  Got it!
