The first night

Things went pretty well though the evening last night. By 9pm I was struggling with a headache and stomach cramping Took prescribed meds for that,  Stomach unsettled and I felt like I wanted to sit up to keep it under control,  The next 4 hours went by with various symptoms that drove sleep away. Finally I hit on the right combination of drugs, or they just caught up with me, I slept from 2-7:30
While I was lying there I started to list the good and the bad; Here it is:

Bad and good
Bad that Michael died
Good that Katie and Bruce are pregnant
Bad that I have cancer
Good that I wont have to loose any body parts
Bad that I have to have chemotherapy
Good that I have one of the best doctors and clinics in the country
Good that my insurance is paying for everything
Bad that it's 11:30pm after my first day of chemo and I can't get to sleep
Headache persistent  thoughts nausea

Woke up this morning after 5 1/2 hours feeling ok. Kind of dopey from all the meds I took last night. But otherwise ok,
I really need to get a handle on how to set up the log I will be keeping.
Im looking online first to see what is out there.

  2. I am so glad your first day is over. I enjoyed the pictures you sent. That is really neat that you can send things while you are getting the chemo.
Marie checked herself into the hospital on a 72 hr hold yesterday so I have Stephen and Alex for at least 72 hrs or more. I am keeping pretty busy so far but hope we can get things to go at an easier pace soon.
I am so glad that the tests came back negative that nothing has spread, that is great news. I hope you feel better soon. LOve, Rosalie
